Questions, answered honestly.
No marketing-team boilerplate. Tyler answers these personally. If we don't have a good answer yet, we say so out loud.
Pricing & plans
What are the tiers and what do they cost?
Free · $0 forever. Full pipeline CRM, gamification, leaderboards, email + calendar integrations, Closers Coffee community forum. No AI agents and no The Sauce signals, both are paid-tier only (we pay the data APIs). No credit card. Unlimited seats and contacts. The free tier IS the trial.
Solo · $147/seat/mo. Single-line autodialer, sequencer, mobile app, the Origin agent (your drafting voice), Pitch DNA, BYOK, and the Enrichment Waterfall (150 credits/mo). Origin is the only AI agent at this tier, but every solo-seller perk travels with it. For solo BDMs and Directors of Sales running a single-line motion who don't need the team layer. No CSM / Account Prospecting / Brain / Legion agents. No The Sauce signal layer. No Power Dialer. No custom Sauce signals. No API. The League is free for any tier (Free included), Solo just makes the numbers easier to hit.
Pro · $397/seat/mo sticker · $247 Founder's Edition for the first 100 seats (sunset Q4 2026). Everything in Solo plus the four other agents (CSM, Account Prospecting, Enterprise Brain, BDM Legion), the The Sauce signal layer (the data feed that makes Origin Sauce-aware), the Power Dialer (mobile, tap-to-call, in development), custom Sauce signals (RSS / webhook / SQL), REST API + webhooks, team management, and a 500 credit/mo enrichment allotment. Existing Founder's Edition customers are grandfathered forever.
Enterprise · custom · 25+ seats. Tyler-led demo, white-glove onboarding (first 30 days), SSO + SAML, custom integrations, named CSM channel, 99.9% SLA, 2,000 enrichment credits/mo. Get a demo →
What is "Founder's Edition" and is it real?
Yes. Pro Founder's Edition is a hard-capped 100-seat allocation at $247/seat/mo, sunset Q4 2026. The sticker price is $397. We're locking in the first 100 paid Pro seats at the early rate because the people who sign up before the platform is famous deserve the better number. If your seat is on Founder's Edition, that's your rate forever, even after Q4 2026.
What's the difference between Solo and Pro?
Solo at $147 gets you the CRM, single-line autodialer, sequencer, mobile app, plus Origin (drafting voice), Pitch DNA, BYOK, and the Enrichment Waterfall (150 credits/mo). Origin is the only AI agent at this tier, but every solo-seller perk travels with it. Pro at $247 adds the rest of the agent stack (CSM for lifecycle nudges, Account Prospecting for pre-call briefs, Enterprise Brain for org-wide RAG, BDM Legion for unlimited virtual BDRs), the The Sauce signal layer (the data feed that makes Origin Sauce-aware), the Power Dialer (mobile, tap-to-call), custom Sauce signals (RSS / webhook / SQL), REST API + webhooks, team management, and a 500 credit/mo enrichment allotment. Solo for the BDM running a single-line motion who wants the perks. Pro when you want the full agent stack and the team layer. The League is free for any tier, paid tiers just make hitting the numbers way easier.
Why $247 (Founder's) instead of $50 or $1,400?
Because $247 is roughly cost-plus when you replace eight tools at once. The legacy stack runs about $107,930/mo all-in (Salesforce + ZoomInfo + Sales Navigator + Outreach + Gong + Clay + Buyer Intent + Bullhorn). We picked the price where the math works and the value is overwhelming. Tyler ships from a DC desk, not a 14-floor SF office. The savings stay with you. Sticker price after Founder's sunset is $397, still well under 1% of the equivalent stack.
What happens if I cancel?
One click in Settings. Your data converts to read-only export mode for 90 days while you pull it. CSV, JSON, full Postgres dump on request. No "downgrade tax." No 7-day waiting period to receive your own data.
Do you offer annual discounts?
Yearly billing is two months free. Solo: $1,470/seat/year (vs $1,764). Pro Founder's Edition: $2,470/seat/year (vs $2,964). We don't push it. Monthly is fine.
Is there a hard cap on AI usage?
Yes. Pro has a hard cap at $550/month equivalent (your $247 base plus ~$150 of overage headroom). Soft warning at 80%, hard pause at 100%, with an in-app "Request increase" form that goes to admin review. Approvals usually inside 24 hours. The cap exists so a runaway agent script can't surprise you with a bill, not to throttle real work.
Is there a team plan?
Pro covers up to 24 seats per workspace at the per-seat rate. At 25+ seats you trigger Enterprise, custom contracts, founder-led discovery, SSO + SAML, custom integrations, named CSM channel. Email team@dealarena.io.
Is funding or capital guaranteed if I qualify for The League?
No. The League is a warm-introduction program, not a funding program. When you hit the public Cycle 00 thresholds, we personally introduce you to angels in our network — that's the commitment. No capital is promised, guaranteed, or implied. Introductions are not offers of investment, and any funding decision is made independently by the third-party investor. We open doors; investors decide.
How do the warm intros actually work?
Build a real book of business inside the free CRM. Hit the public Cycle 00 thresholds (≥$500K trailing 12mo ARR, ≥110% quota over 4 quarters, 60-day activity streak, 90-day tenure). Top performers and founders with real traction earn a personal, warm introduction to angels in our East-coast network, matched on fit. From there, the conversation is entirely between you and the investor — we don't broker, take a finder's fee, take equity, or take a placement cut. Introductions are not offers of investment.
Data & security
Where is my data stored?
Managed Postgres on Neon (SOC 2 Type II + ISO 27001 certified), primary region us-east-1 (Virginia, AWS underneath), encrypted at rest with AES-256. Point-in-time recovery enabled: we can rewind the database to any state within the last 30 days. Full detail on the Security page.
What if we accidentally wipe critical data?
Two layers. One: a 30-day soft-delete trash with one-click undo — deletes, bulk deletes, and bulk-action mistakes go to /database/trash and can be restored individually. Two: database-level point-in-time recovery on top of that. If something corrupts data at a scale the trash can't handle (bad mass-edit, account compromise, corrupted import), we can rewind the entire database to any state within the last 30 days. Email support@dealarena.io.
Do you train AI models on my data?
No. We don't train on your data. We don't sell your data. It's yours, full stop. Tyler's an ex-cybersecurity engineer with a reverse-engineering background, he defends our clients' data like a Jedi. Pro AI calls hit Anthropic with data_retention: 0 and a signed zero-retention agreement. Your prompts and contact data are not used to train any model, ours, theirs, or anyone else's.
How do I export everything?
Settings → Export → CSV / JSON / full Postgres dump. Takes ~12 seconds for a 50k-contact account. No "request a copy and we'll email it in 7 business days" nonsense.
Compliance certifications?
We don't hold any audited compliance certifications today, and we don't claim any. Plenty of vendors put badges in the footer the day they sign the engagement letter. We won't. The security story today is: security-first design, industry-standard encryption, best-practice controls. Tyler is an ex-cybersecurity engineer with a reverse-engineering background, the product has guardrails, bug-bounty testing, and zero-trust internals. Our hosting (Render) and database (Neon) sub-processors are SOC 2 Type II + ISO 27001 certified — sub-processor compliance reports available on request. If your security team requires DealArena itself to hold a specific audited certification today, we'll tell you on the discovery call instead of pretending. Once we earn one, we'll put it up. Not before.
GDPR? Are you certified?
Removed.
Can I turn AI completely off?
Yes. Settings → AI → toggle off. The button is large. The product still works as a full CRM with zero AI. Some teams turn it off during compliance review, then turn it back on later. Up to you.
Migration
Can I import from HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive?
Yes. Native importers for HubSpot (OAuth), Pipedrive (API key), Salesforce (token), and CSV for everything else. Average time-to-imported is 4 minutes for a 10k contact list.
Will my pipeline stages map correctly?
The importer asks you to map stages on first sync. You can re-map any time without losing data. Custom fields preserve their type (number, date, dropdown).
What about email history and notes?
Email threads import as activities tied to the contact. Notes preserve the original timestamp and author. Attachments < 10MB are pulled inline.
Reverse migration?
Full export of every field, every record, every activity, as JSON or CSV. We will also write you a HubSpot-compatible import file if you decide to leave. We'd rather you stay because you want to.
AI agents (Pro)
What do the agents actually do?
Origin runs your Sauce feed, drafts outreach, and coaches reps. Codex is your personal AI archive over your CRM, notes, and conversations (Solo+). Account Prospecting generates structured pre-call briefs (Pro+). BDM Legion instantiates virtual BDR personas (Pro+). Brain is your organization's shared knowledge layer — Sales SOP, voice/tone, deliverables, brand assets — that every other agent pulls from automatically (Enterprise). Customer Success agent generates next-best-action recommendations grounded in your Brain (Enterprise).
None of them auto-send. You're always the trigger.
What's the difference between Codex and Brain?
Codex is yours. Brain is your team's.
Codex (Solo+) is your personal AI archive — RAG over your own CRM, notes, conversations, and DealArena help/marketing corpus. Per-user scoped; nothing crosses between users. Free tier sees a read-only preview.
Brain (Enterprise only) is your organization's shared knowledge layer. Org admins upload your Sales SOP, voice/tone exemplars, deliverable templates, and brand assets. Every team member's agents auto-inject relevant Brain content into their LLM calls — outreach drafts use your voice, account briefs follow your SOP, Customer Success outputs match your deliverable style. The org pays once and every rep's AI gets brand-aware.
Why is Brain Enterprise-only?
The whole point of Brain is that every agent on your team produces brand-consistent output without per-rep configuration. That's a meaningful operational capability — it requires org-level admin tooling, document management, version control, asset storage, and white-glove implementation. Enterprise pricing pays for the implementation engagement and the org-level infrastructure that makes Brain useful at team scale. Pro users still get Codex (personal AI archive), full agent access (Origin, Account Prospecting, BDM Legion), The Sauce signals, and everything else. The Enterprise step-up is specifically about branded AI at team scale — Brain plus the brand-trained Customer Success agent.
Why is the Customer Success agent Enterprise-only?
The CSM agent is the v1 Enterprise differentiator: it's the agent that benefits most from Brain auto-injection. A generic LLM-driven Customer Success agent (no brand training) is a commodity — Enterprise gets one that pulls from your uploaded Sales SOP and voice/tone on every run, and explicitly cites which Brain documents informed each recommendation. That's the difference between "the AI told me to send a proposal" and "the AI told me to send the Tier-1 proposal template per your SOP §3 within 48h of the qualification call." Worth the step-up. If a generic next-best-action agent is what you need, drop us a note — we'll figure out the right path.
Can I bring my own API key (BYOK)?
Yes, Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint (vLLM, Together, your own self-hosted). BYOK skips our inference cost. Available on Solo ($147), Pro ($247 Founder's Edition / $397 sticker post-sunset), and Enterprise. Useful if you have enterprise LLM volume credits or strict data-routing requirements.
How accurate is the signal tracking?
~94% precision on funding and hiring signals (we measure weekly). Layoffs and exec moves run lower at ~82%, public signal is noisier. Every signal links to its source so you can verify in two clicks.
Can I turn off AI completely?
Yes, but you probably don't want to. Settings → AI → off. The button is large. The product still works as a full CRM. Most people who toggle it off turn it back on within a week.
Integrations
What integrates today?
Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Calendly, Cal.com, Zoom, Linear, Notion, Zapier, n8n. Native OAuth on all of them. Webhooks (in & out) for everything else.
API access?
REST + Webhooks on every plan. Rate limit is 600 req/min on Free, 6000 on Pro. Docs at docs.dealarena.io.
Bombora / 6sense / G2 intent data?
BYOK on Pro. We don't resell intent data, bring your existing contract.
LinkedIn?
Chrome extension that pulls profile context into a deal record. We don't scrape, automate connections, or violate ToS. The extension is open-source.
Team & trust
How big is the team?
One. Tyler Roper. Solo build. No co-founder, no head of growth, no "we", when the website says "we," that's the royal we. We're not currently hiring. But if you think you have skills that can help push DealArena's mission forward and you'd thrive in a scrappy, autonomous environment where the customer comes first and we drive to be better every single day, throw your hat in the ring. We might end up ringing you. tyler@dealarena.io. The agents work for us. They don't get desks.
Are you taking outside capital?
Not currently. We have plenty of PE and VC connections, they call. We're staying true to the vision and not raising right now. If that ever changes, you'll see the wire on the changelog the same Tuesday it lands.
What's a GS-16?
A General Schedule grade 16 was a federal civil-service "supergrade" — the tier above career civil servants and below presidential appointees. It was phased out in 1978 when Carter signed the Civil Service Reform Act, and the role was folded into the Senior Executive Service. My grandfather was one, with the DEA. He spent his career hunting people who didn't want to be found — turns out that's not so different from prospecting. The top tier is named for him. This one's for him.
